I have been having a rough time lately and decided to put my panic to good use and created some healing journals, I have attached a photo for you to see! I call it "my bi-polar picasso" LOL It made me soo happy to finish it and then turn it into journals for others to purchase if they want!! I am going to post it on my blog so anybody who would like to purchase a healing journal can :) they will be 14.95 with shipping included and are wire bound books with heavy 110 lb cover cardstock which will hold up to abusive art work :) I have gotten alot of feedback thanking me for sharing my story and am really relieved I did as I think some people now know why I am the way I am :)

Ear Today, Gone Tomorrow.

(Sorry, that was a TERRIBLE pun, and probably a bit insensitive, which flies in the face of a lot of what this blog is trying to accomplish.  But sometimes we can laugh a little too, and I just couldn't help it!)

As we continue our exploration of stigma and mental illness this month, we are taking a look at famous artists, writers and celebrities who suffer from this disease.  We can't leave out Vincent Van Gogh, an extraordinary artist who lived a painful life at a time when treatment simply was not available for his diseases.

Vincent van Gogh, Dutch Post-Impressionist artist, reportedly had both clinical depression and bipolar disorder.
