I'll be vending at Art, Paperie & Pleasantries next weekend. It's being held at the Alameda County Fair Building in Pleasnaton, CA. You can find more details here.

There will be lots of vendors, live music, book signings, make & take classes, coloring table for the kiddies and lots of pretties to buy! I'll be taking lots of new art, and The ZNE Store will have TONS of vintage and new art supplies, dolls, paperie, vintage doll clothes and miniatures, and more!

All the sparkly goodness happens Saturday May 2 & Sunday May 3, 2009 Noon - 5:00 p.m. both days, $3 admission, but get the dollar off coupon on the website.

Artisan Feature - A Purple Daisy

My name is Cindy DeLuz, and I live in the beautiful foothills of Calaveras county, California. I live on 3 acres in a small town that I share with my husband, teenage daughter, 3 horses, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 bird. Needless to say, we're animal lovers! Being surrounded by nature is inspirational, and many of my photographs reflect my surroundings.

Art has become a true passion for me, especially after I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in May, 2007. Needless to say, I was shocked and it took awhile for me to accept the diagnosis. I was 47 years old at the time, and it was something I would have never imagined. It's funny how often times it takes something frightening to wake up your senses. That's what PD has done for me. It's sort of an upside down gift. I truly appreciate the little things  a lot more now, and can see beauty all around me.

For me creating art is joyful, healing, peaceful, calming, energizing, playful, exciting, and just plain fun! It's been the best therapy I could have asked for. The icing on the cake, is when someone buys a piece of my work and they say, "That photo or painting really makes me happy." Wow, that's the best part of creating!

My slogan is "Art That Makes Your HeART Smile!"...hopefully that's  what it will do for you.

Artisan Feature - Glzrbug

Glzrbug is the eBay selling ID for Lynn Wright, a talented artist and purveyor of fantastic vintage  wares.  In addition to selling on eBay, Lynn maintains a fun Ruby Lane (online) shop where she shares her fabulous collection of antique and retro housewares, toys, and more.

"I have an extensive background in arts and crafts, antique and collectible dolls and in the past participated in many shows and co-op ventures," says Lynn.

You can find Lynn's Ruby Lane store, here.  You can also find lots of her fun vintage goodies - especially those which would be useful for altered art, at Art Paperie and Pleasantries!

Vendor Feature - The ZNE Store

The ZNE Store will be out in full force during Art Paperie and Pleasantries.  The ZNE Store features an incredible array of unusual and vintage mixed media art supplies.

Chelise Stroud Hery, the purveyor of The ZNE Store has scoured online auction houses, estate sales, antique stores, and sales venues across the country for unique additions to her store.  She often buys in bulk lots, thereby allowing her to make her supply offerings available for pennies on the dollar.

At Art Paperie and Pleasantries, you will find lots of vintage text packages, vintage sewing notions, fabric and fiber packages, vintage post card lots, assorted blank tags for altering, and numerous charms ~ along with many other wonderful products.  The products you see here are just a small sampling of what will be available.

   

Artisan Feature ~ HeArt Collective

Julee Herrmann is the heart behind the art of HeArt Collective.  She is an artist hailing from the East Bay.  She began selling her work profesionally just over a year ago, and the art world is all the better for it.

Julee's specialty is mixed media and collage work, and she particular enjoys working in small scale, such as jewelry and Artist Trading Cards.  Though, she's been known to alter a shoe or two, as well!
