Sharon Bloom's studio, Blooming Creations, is located in California where her day has begun and ended with paintbrush in hand since 1986. Sharon's ceramic work consists of frames and pins. She freehand paints and glazes each piece individually, using traditional ceramic techniques and materials. Sunday's Art~Paper & Pleasures Arts and Craft Show & Sale will take place at the Historic Veteran's Memorial Building on Main Street.
The Pleasanton Veterans Memorial Building was designed by renowned architect, Henry Meyers, and it was completed in 1933. In 2007, extensive renovation work brought the building back to its original glory, while preserving its historical and architectural integrity. The original clay tiled roof was repaired or replaced by using the existing tiles, the lighting fixtures were cleaned or replicated, several damaged tiles in the foyer were reproduced, and the original floor tiles in the bathroom were reproduced to exact duplication. The hand-painted wood-beamed ceilings were also carefully cleaned. We are excited to present our event Vendor Faire in such a lovely location!
