Artisan Feature - A Purple Daisy

My name is Cindy DeLuz, and I live in the beautiful foothills of Calaveras county, California. I live on 3 acres in a small town that I share with my husband, teenage daughter, 3 horses, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 bird. Needless to say, we're animal lovers! Being surrounded by nature is inspirational, and many of my photographs reflect my surroundings.

Art has become a true passion for me, especially after I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in May, 2007. Needless to say, I was shocked and it took awhile for me to accept the diagnosis. I was 47 years old at the time, and it was something I would have never imagined. It's funny how often times it takes something frightening to wake up your senses. That's what PD has done for me. It's sort of an upside down gift. I truly appreciate the little things  a lot more now, and can see beauty all around me.

For me creating art is joyful, healing, peaceful, calming, energizing, playful, exciting, and just plain fun! It's been the best therapy I could have asked for. The icing on the cake, is when someone buys a piece of my work and they say, "That photo or painting really makes me happy." Wow, that's the best part of creating!

My slogan is "Art That Makes Your HeART Smile!"...hopefully that's  what it will do for you.
