Ellie Wants it All

Well, we had a wonderful time yesterday at the South Bay Soiree.

We found a little vintage knit dress in a cubby or box somewhere, and Ellie just loved it, so she wore it out, proudly.  We packed up the car with goodies for sale, and made our way to San Jose.

At first Ellie sat on the left side of the ZNE table, and just watched over the goodies.  It was a beautiful day, and she enjoyed being outside in the sunshine, in her new dress.

P1010079_2 After a little while though, she got bored and decided to walk around and see what the members of The Pleasanton Craft Mafia had to offer.  First stop was Joanna Crawshaw's table, where Ellie found this wonderful mixed media mini collage.   We loved this piece, and the wonderful tattoo print scarves that Joanna had sewn up.  Very nice.

Ellie was less pleased with the way the wind was blowing her hair in her face, so we headed inside to see what awaited us in there.

First thing in the front door was Anni Patti's amazing Make A Scene Photography goods.  She sells buttons, boxes, greeting cards, and more - all decorated with her fabulous photography.

Ellie thought this one made a fabulous bench.  (I had to remind her that sitting on people's art was rude.)

So we headed on to the next table -

Ellie loved Jeannine's Designs by a Hummingbird table.  Wonderful colors and bead and baubles.  She found a fabulous butterfly bracelet that fit her perfectly as a lovely necklace.  And, the pleading began...

Time for a little snuggle with mom.  I try to explain that we are not there to buy, but Ellie already has her eye on the next table.

Oooh!  Look at Andrea Oda's Dreams and Jewelry line. Such gorgeous stuff!

"Mom!  I need earrings!  Drill some wholes in my ears, quick!"

"Not until you are older dear.  You are too new for customizations right now."

SIGH.

"Lookit this bling Mom!  This tourquoise stone ring is perfect!  I've gotta have it!"

Ellie really enjoyed Leah Hitchcock Ybarra's Michon table display.  She was even more impressed when I told her that one of Leah's pendants was featured on the PCM Blog on Friday.  Here.

Oh but wait!  Look at this one!  This ring is the MUST HAVE of the season!

Ellie particularly enjoyed her visit to Villain Accessories table!

The only way I could pry her away was with promises of chocolate and strawberries.

Mmmmmm.  Yummy.  Perfect time for a snack.  All that shopping is exhausting.

Group photo with some of the Craft Mafia girls before we go!

P1010092 All in all, it was a great day.  We made a few sales, Ellie made quite a few friends, and we enjoyed good snacks.  Mmmm!

If you haven't made it to a Pleasanton Craft Mafia event yet, be sure and check in on their blog, frequently - this incredible group has 100 members and we are all over the place, putting on a good show!

Phew!  All packed up, and tucked in for the ride home.

Hey wait a minute ~ is that one of Joanna's cool tattoo print fabric buttons?  That naughty Ellie, she bought something after all!

Well, we've got lots of new dolls arriving every day, and doll house pics - so stay tuned!

Have a great Monday everyone!

Oh my, that Ellie sure is a handful. But it was great getting to meet her.
