Friday Finds ~ Janet Crompton Pipes and Art Under the Oaks!

Today we have a Friday Find AND a Saturday Sale Update! 

Today's Friday Find is this gorgeous necklace, created by PCM Member Janet Crampton Pipes - absolutely stunning!

And - guess what?  If you would like to see more stunning pieces by PCM Member Janet Crampton Pipes - then be sure and stop by the Alden Lane Nursery in Livermore this weekend, where they will be holding their fabulous Art Under the Oaks event!

This is the 21st Anniversary of Art Under the Oaks at Alden Lane Nursery.

The historic event combines an art exhibit, food, and beverage, live music and fruit tasting!

From the Alden Lane website:

 

We'll have local wineries pouring samples, local artists will be on hand demonstrating their craft, music will fill the grounds, and Dave Wilson Nursery will hold their annual summer fruit tasting, so yummy, you won't want to miss it. For the kids, there will be an interactive art activity for all ages.

Adding to the festive atmosphere will be live music both days.


Vocal-Ease, a local Swing and Big Band group will perform on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

1:30-2:30 Extended Roots

Returning for their annual performance are the Stony Ridge Ramblers performing on Saturday from 2:30-4 p.m.

Suzuki Strings performs on Sunday from 1-2 p.m.

To conclude the event will be the Pleasanton Community Concert Band, performing from 2:30-4 p.m.


There are raffle prizes every hour, if your name is pulled on Sunday at 4 p.m. you win the grand prize piece of original art valued at over $200.00. Every hour winners receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the nursery. Admission is FREE, Parking is FREE. Friday Finds! ~ Michon

We are a day late but not a dollar short in presenting this week's Friday Finds.

This week we are showing off this gorgeous circle pendent necklace created by Leah Hitchcock Ybarra who is the proprietess of the extraordinary jewelry design co - Michon:

Circle Pendant

Not your typcial circle pendant, this one has a more artsy/industrial look and feel to it. Bits and pieces of silver were arranged, then partially melted so that they fused together. A few bits at a time were added to the sculpture, literally building it from a flat circle into the more three dimensional piece you see here. Shown on black satin cord.
