Karyn Beitar is The Spirit of ZNE!
"I love the idea that my artwork will bring a smile to someone's face." -Karyn
Karyn Beitar is an American artist living in North Carolina. She is known for being supportive of her fellow artists, and is not only a member of ZNE and many other art groups, but she is also very active in her local art community. For the past several years, Karyn has served on the Board of Directors of the Harnett County Arts Council, most recently serving as VIce President of the group.
Karyn has loved painting since she was a young child. As an adult, she was diagnosed with a muscle disorder, and this was a turning point in her life. She made a decision to focus on her art.
Karyn says her artwork is influenced from all types of cultures, as well as folk tales, history, music, reading and travel. She enjoys painting naive, primitive and Americana folk art. She also love to paint urban scenes, abstracts, still lifes and scenes from travels and my memories. Her preference for bold, bright colors is evident in her work. She uses acrylics, oils, pastels, watercolors and mixed media. In addition to her painting, Karyn frequently creates artist trading cards and collages.
