Copper and Mica Grape Lamp - Sue Clark - ITEM 16
Description: Copper & Mica Grape Lamp From the Nature’s Jewels Series.
This copper and grape lamp has a one of kind designed, hand hammered and riveted copper lampshade by the artist Sue Clark.
This is the only lamp with the grape motif that she created with a mica panel. The lampshade is 8” tall with a 4” diameter opening at the top and an 11” diameter opening at the bottom. Four identical motifs of a grape bunch with one leaf are cut into the copper. Five steel leaves are attached with hand made rivets around the top of the shade. The shade has been given a dark brown mottled patina. A panel of amber colored mica lines the interior of the shade. The light through the mica is a nice warm yellow.
The Parisian base is cast with a bronze finish. The base (without the harp) is 14” tall. The lamp has a 3-way socket and a 7” harp. The overall height of the lamp is 20”.
