Kat Tarra, Julee Herrmann, MaryAnn McKeating,and Lennea Truesdell are up this month with the April Product Review.
Each of these Design Team members were sent collage sheets from ZNE Vendor Member, Charming Sam, in San Jose,California. Design Team Queen, Chel, instructed the group to "think outside the box, think creativity, be original, and have fun!" ( Our favorite part is....HAVING FUN!) Charming Sam Studios was born out of the interests of artist/designer, Amy Steinberg. Her website/store offers a wonderful selection of jewlery, art and ephemera.You can read about Amy's artistic adventures on her blog, "Charming Sam Studios"
The Design Team members oooh-ed and ahhhh-ed when the collage sheets arrived in the mail. Those on the team assigned to another month, were of course, jealous and anxious to see what the DT came up with. Jul especially liked the smaller images for her jewelry pieces and created several stunning pieces layered with gl
ass and mica. 
The bunnies were immediately deemed approriate for tags by Lennea and you can see her beautiful results, which she has hanging on her white feather tree. 
Jul immediately fired back with some cute tags of her own. 
Not to be out done, Kat applied a bunny to a domino with a beautiful end result.She directly applied the image to the domino and used alcohol inks for the background and then applied "environtex" ( a Canadian product that Kat says is similar to "diamond glaze")
Lennea created a beautiful "Empire Under Glass" 
Jul submitted her own little collage kingdom
Kat submitted her own version of the tags, recycling the ends of frozen juice cans! 
Kat also came up with a necklace with an image in a filigree frame with matching chain. 
Mary Ann came up with a wonderful collection of projects as well. She described the images as "very interesting & eclectic...a somewhat darker palette than what i'm typically used to, but i "worked it" & rather happy with how my efforts turned out". The Design Team was pretty happy with her results as well, here are her "covert menegarie" collage, "muse" locket charm, "waiting" altered matchbox, teeny tag & button inchies ."
The July Challenge for the Design Team was to take one of the collage sheets that was created from the backgrounds that their fellow team members created last month, and make some art! The only rule was that they could not use their own background.
