How super cool is this? The fabulous Jennifer Perkins of Naughty Secretary Club posted an interview with me on Craft Gossip! Woo Hoo! I'm getting my 5 minutes of crafty fame!
Hope you all have a famously wonderful weekend as well!
"Sour" is the theme of the day over at Illustration Friday. I thought of this Drama Queen collage I put together for a ZNE Theme Week a couple years ago. She's a bit of a sour puss, for sure.
Here's to hoping your weekend and everything about it is SWEET!
Don't forget to check out all the most recent fabulousness going on at ConvneZioNE! www.ZNEcon.com

Our new kitty Pepper was walking around on my printer today, so I scanned his feet! Tee hee!
It made me think of that wonderful Sally Field quote above. I've been posting promotions for the upcoming ZNE ConvenZioNE event today, and I am just in awe of how absolutely incredible this event has become - the 2008 event is three days of non-stop celebration and inspiration for artists:

This past weekend was totally nuts. It turned out that Gina and I had to pull our booth from the wonderful tumbleweed cotilion because we signed up for an outdoor booth, and the temps were unseasonable hot (like, close to 100 degrees). Too hot for paper products and ephemera to sit out and sun, and Gina's beautiful dolls were cracking in the heat. No good at all. Not to mention both of us were flirting with heat exhaustion big time.
We got there, set up, and then - closed up shop a couple hours later. I was sad not to participate in such a fabulous show, but decided to make the best of it by focusing on the kids I had in tow (Abs, RJ, and his best friend Jared) and creating a vacation for them.
So, I spent to much money, was a bit stressed out, and regretful that I couldn't participate fully in the Tumbleweed cotilion - but the kids had a blast. Start to finish. In fact, our pulling from the show could not have worked out better for them. More time for fun.
We spent time at the pool, at the kids arcades, we ate reoom service dinner and the fabulous buffet breakfasts.
On Saturday night we saw the Floor Play ballroom dance show at the El Dorado.

And on Sunday we all went river rafting down the Truckee River - which couldn't have been more beautiful, and was great fun!
And so, even under stressful circumstances, the weekend could not have been better. The kids returned home well fed, well entertained and happy as nevada clams. : D
I figure, it wasn't necessarily what I set out to accomplish, but job well done.
Hope you all had a great weekend too!
I'll be sharing a table with ZNE Member Gina Gabriell. There will be lots of wonderfulness throughout the entire event, and it was co-produced by ZNEer Tracey Buxton.
